This simple Sound Triggered Switch is a very useful and simple circuit to trigger a load with the Sound Input like voice. This circuit can also be used to detect high noise levels or high decibel sound for all industrial and scientific purposes.
Basically, upon detection of high-volume sound, the circuit triggers LED output. So, this circuit can be used as ‘VOX’ or to trigger a light or any other indicator as sound input trigger. This circuit can also be used to detect high Audio Noise Levels.
Further, this circuit can be modified to act like a VOX for Amateur Radio applications. The applications are unlimited with bit of imagination and experimentation.
This circuit operates on 9V DC supply, and uses Condenser Microphone as input element. Through the onboard preset resistors, one can adjust the sensitivity of this circuit to suit their requirement. Further, this circuit can easily be modified to provide Relay or Buzzer activation also.
This project can be used for School / College Projects as well as in industries
